E AND R HANDICRAFT
The company started in 1980 with a husband and wife tandem of Emeterio San Gaspar and Rosario Laderas.That time handicrafts is very saleable item especially in place like Quiapo, where Balikbayan Handicraft is located.They also supply some stores in Ermita like Tesoros, Vizcarra, and several small stores of the old famous Pistang Pilipino the Marcos era successful handicraft market during the 80’s.
As we go on we increases our market as well as our production staffs and new designs.Some friends help us in selling our products to Shoemart, Isetann, Uniwide, Fairplaza, that’s is a very good year to the company.
Then came the subcontracting markets which is more in volume and much more bigger in sales.We supply to Lawin Manufacturing Island Accents, Mandatory Touches Xmas decors, baskets, woodcarvings and woodshaving items.We were also introduce to new crafts like resins and papiermachie which is also a successful ventures.
In 1990 we were tap to export picture frames to France and we were able to do it for almost one year and a half till we think that it is not profitable anymore because of competition to China.
Today we are still going good with other businesses branching from this family owned company now which the son Rudel San Gaspar and wife Belen took charge of managing. Rigth now we employed about 50 workers during lean season and 100 during peak season.

Being in the handicraft industries and the company was exposed to different kind of handicraft may it be home decors, woodcarvings, decorative items and funrnitures.during the 90’s we were able to make a lot of furniture for export to Europe.This furniture comprises of tables such as square tables, side tables, trays, organizers ,towel racks and other home decors. We were able to create a team of skilled workers that,s been honed thru times and they excelled to any type of furniture that the buyer may buy or order.vailable skilled worker are bandsaw operator,circular operators,jigsawer,woodcarvers,sanders,assembly workers,and finishers.
